The toughest 3-day tasks so far!

ahhhh...........! NO! I can barely talk! I did 3 days of focus group interpretation from Cantonese to English, each group was about 3 hours, the topic is cosmetics. The first day was ok, just 3 hours, the 2nd day was a bit worse, 2 groups in the afternoon. I was lucky to have an hour break in between, otherwise, I would seriously be worried about my ability to talk.

It might seem exaggerated, but my voice did really hurt, I really need to learn a better way to use my voice, you know what I used to keep me talking during the sessions? Nin Jiom! My savior!

The first day, there was a technical problem and the client had to move into the same room with me, I didn't have a chance to turn and look at her. All I could hear is "tick tick" sound, I was thinking that she kept flicking her pen and thought it's annoying...it's only during the break that I knew that she's actually typing the computer, haha!

I was glad that she was very satisfied with my performance (it's not what I thought, it's what the staff at the company told me) :D.

Like always, although I nearly lost my voice, I am happy because I get the sense of satisfaction from doing interpretation!
